We need some policemen in Cairo to keep order! Here's one under development.
Another in the Egypt series, these packs will include police and prison guards. Throughout the moder period, the police in Egypt were dressed and armed very much like the military.
And before you ask: no, the left hand is not a crab claw--it's just not finished. There's a bit of cleanup on him before he's ready to go...that's why I call this the Workbench. |

Here's a shot of another new figure under development. I had bought some clay figures in Cairo years ago and they have provided inspiration for several new figures in the developing Egyptian series. There's another pot on his back, connected to the rope.
Who knows? He could be selling the contents of the pots instead of the pots themselves. You are limited only by your imagination...or the scenario.
I expect to be releasing a couple of sets of Egyptians a month in the next several months. Of course, they don't have to be Egyptians: the fez was worn throughout the Ottoman Empire and some of the figures will have a turban or skull cap instead. |

Three new Egyptian fellahin figures I finished mastering this weekend. The fellahin are peasants of Egypt--natives who have been around since the time of the pharaohs. Their traditional dress is a galibayeh with maybe a vest of some sort. For headgear, a fez, skullcap, turban, or combination.
The two on the left are "diggers & fillers"--useful for archaelogy digs and so forth. The guy on the right is a farmer with a primitive hoe made out of a couple of sticks. Any ideas for other activities or poses that would go along with these ? |

I've just mastered a new M1914 Hotchkiss HMG.
The gunner's existing base doesn't allow his right hand to get close enough to the trigger so I will have to cut off the base (as I did in the photo) in order to re-master the set.
The new HMG will be used with the Foreign Legion crew, the Chasseur Alpins crew and any other crew we may make in the future, such as Riffis or World War I Foreign Legion.
I don't plan on offering it separately, but I might put it into a 2-pack if there is demand. |
